We’re Close to Something Big

I’ve been deep in vibe coding lately—those rare, electric sessions where the ideas are clear, the code flows, and building feels effortless. I’ve shared some of that energy in my recent YouTube videos, trying to capture what makes it possible.

And honestly? The tools we have right now are amazing. The raw power available to solo builders and small teams is unlike anything we’ve had before. You can spin up a global-scale app in an afternoon. You can prototype, deploy, and iterate faster than ever. The possibilities feel infinite.

But here’s the catch: everything is still fragmented.

Each layer—frontend, backend, database, auth, storage, hosting, email, payments, background jobs, analytics, monitoring—has its own ecosystem. None of them speak the same language out of the box. They're brilliant in isolation, but disjointed in practice.

You’re not building with building blocks. You’re conducting an orchestra where every instrument is in a different key.

Sometimes, it clicks. Sometimes, you find the flow. But stray even slightly off the golden path, and the friction returns. Configs. Errors. Permissions. Docs that assume too much or explain too little.

Vibe coding is real. The magic is real. But we’re only glimpsing it.

Whoever manages to tie all of this together—not by abstracting it away, but by making it feel like one continuous experience—will define the next era of how we build. Not just for developers. For AI. For everyone.

And when that happens, the magic won’t be the exception. It’ll be the norm.
