We’ve just launched a website called topfiftywp.com that shows you the most downloaded WordPress plugins per day.
It also shows you the top 50 plugins and themes by active installs (sorted by rating)
Hopefully you’ll find this really useful to discover not only the best WordPress plugins but also those plugins that are up and coming.
Some of the numbers are mindbogglingly big!
We’ve also released this as a free Gutenberg Block (beta plugin) so that WordPress publishers and bloggers can show the list on their own sites.
As well as plugins, we’re going to be officially adding themes to topfiftywp very soon. The download below includes themes but it still needs a little tweaking to make it beautiful 🙂
How to use topfiftywp on your own website
Just install the plugin and look for two new blocks.
We’ve released two new blocks so far (Popular Themes & Popular Plugins) as you’ll see in the screen shot below.
These can be found in layout elements.
Just add a block and the top fifty plugins (or themes) will be listed.
We’ll be adding new blocks over the next few weeks, as well as customization options for each block
If you have any questions, or ideas for new blocks let me know in the comments below or email me at jamie@pootlepress.com
Thanks for taking the time to Pootle 🙂
